Northmore Stud has 60 boxes plus a separate veterinary room with stocks thus allowing the vet to examine your Mare with ease. The stud is made up of 3 separate yards, one of which consists of an American Barn, which also has its own stocks. The facilities include 6 foaling units with CCTV connected to the Stud Groom's house. We also use one of our own experienced members of staff for sitting up at night during the season. Each foaling is supervised by the Stud Groom. In addition we have our own teaser, a covered horse walker and covered lunge ring. We have our own horsebox and use our own staff to take your Mare to the stallion you have chosen in the Newmarket area. We also board Mares who are visiting stallions outside of Newmarket but only use reliable independent Transporters to take your Mare to the relevant stud. |
Middle Stud has 28 boxes, 3 large paddocks and a veterinary room with stocks and is literary minutes from Northmore. During the season Middle Stud is used for the Barren and Maiden Mares. Their management is different from in-foal Mares, so it is advantageous to have this as a separate operation. Our veterinary and gynaecological care is provided by Rossdale & Partners. During the season the stud has daily attendance by the vet and we are also backed by a 24-hour veterinary service, if needed. The stud is located within a few minutes of the Rossdale Equine Hospital which means any problems, should they arise can be dealt with quickly no matter what time of the day. We have found this can sometimes be of the up-most importance particularly in the season. If you should have a horse at the hospital and it is not quite ready to travel home and you would like to keep it somewhere else, please give the Stud a call as we would be more than willing to help. |

We also do Sales Preparation for Mares, Yearlings and Foals which starts approximately 60 days before the sale. We utilise the horse walker and walk in hand. As we have the benefit of a covered horse walker and lunge ring this eliminates the problem of the weather allowing all the time to be used to ensure your horse is ready for the sales. Sue as Stud owner deals with the daily running of the Stud and makes a point of ensuring that all owners receive regular updates on their horses throughout their stay. This is done either by fax, e mail or the telephone. If however you should have any concerns then Sue is always on the end of the telephone to speak with you. |
